Sometimes You Have to Encourage Yourself. Love, Tialauna

Updated: 1 hour ago

Yesterday I woke up feeling a little defeated. Not devastated. Not broken. Just… dim. It felt like the light inside me had been gently turned down a few levels. My spirit was quieter than usual, my energy softer, almost fragile. And instead of shoving that feeling away or telling myself to toughen up, I did something different.

I decided to show up for me. 🌱

I picked up my phone, recorded a message meant only for my own heart, and then played it back over and over. I let my voice sound like comfort. I let my words land like medicine. I even sang to myself a little, because music reaches places that talking can’t. Slowly, something inside of me loosened. Something opened. Something softened.

Yesterday that video was for me.

Today it is for you. ❤️

Because feeling defeated is something we all experience, but we rarely understand what’s truly happening underneath. It isn’t always caused by some dramatic crisis. Often it comes from subtle shifts:

A hope you’re not sure will ever arrive.

A disappointment you told yourself to “get over.”

A small heartbreak you pushed to the back of your mind.

A long stretch of being strong for everyone else.

Here is the truth:

When you feel defeated, it’s usually not because you’re weak. It’s because you’ve been strong for too long without being replenished. Your inner world is asking for presence. Your spirit is asking for gentleness. Your emotions are asking to be acknowledged, not managed.

And while friends and family can encourage you, sometimes their words don’t reach the part of you that needs healing. Not because they’re doing anything wrong, but because the message your soul requires must come from you.

That’s why encouraging yourself matters. ✨

Self encouragement is the moment you stop running from your emotions and turn toward them with softness. It is the moment you become your own anchor again.

Here’s how transformation begins:

1. Acknowledge how you feel.

Say the truth without judgment: “I’m tired. I’m overwhelmed. I need a moment.” Truth clears emotional fog.

2. Offer yourself compassion.

Speak to yourself the way you’d speak to someone you love. Compassion rebuilds inner safety.

3. Use your voice as medicine.

Say words that lift you: “I’m growing. I’m capable. I’m allowed to rest.” Your voice carries power your spirit recognizes. 🕊️

4. Reconnect with your light.

Breathe deeply. Stretch. Sit in silence. Sing. Pray. Write. Any act of presence reconnects you with yourself. 🌸

And when you do this, something shifts. The heaviness begins to ease. The light begins to return. Not because life suddenly changed, but because you came back to you. 🌟

Strength isn’t about never feeling defeated. Strength is knowing how to guide yourself back into alignment when you do.

So please love on yourself today. Encourage yourself. Be your own cheerleader. Be the one who says, “I’m still here for you.”

I love you.

Please love on you too. 💛

Love, Tialauna
